Teravina Naguib Counselor in training
I am a counseling psychology intern at the American University in Cairo (AUC). This is my fifth and final year in the counseling psychology MA program and AUC. I have conducted counseling sessions at AUC at the Psychological counseling and training center. I worked with university students and staff members on a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. In addition, I have co-led a psycho-educational group on dealing with anxiety; “Get out of your mind and live your life”. During my practicum, I was trained in CBT and person-centered Therapy; I am also highly interested in ACT and couples therapy.
I strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship as the basis for a successful therapeutic journey for the client. I prefer integrated approach to tailor the therapeutic interventions according to the client’s needs.
