Description
Naglaa is a Clinical Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist, PhD candidate, offering therapy for individuals, Families, and couples.
At the Behman Hospital and clinics, she provided Psychometric assessments, counseling, and therapy for patients with OCD, PTSD, Depression, Personality Disorders, Grief, and Anxiety.
She is highly qualified and specialized in Couples Therapy and has received intense training using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)and the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT Model), which relies on three domains: developmental neuroscience, arousal regulation, and attachment theory. It aims at helping couples to merge the social justice model with the secure attachment model to create a secure-functioning relationship based on shared purpose, mission, and vision.
As a couples’ therapist, I use a combination of EFT, SFT, and PACT to help couples read and validate each other’s emotions, understand underlying attachment wounds, co-regulate emotions, manage third-party conflicts, and build shared governance within a safe couple bubble.
Naglaa has supported young adults and adolescents to deal with social and family problems such as conflicts with parents, anger management, conduct problems, social issues, and self-esteem problems, and offered parenting advice and support to caregivers.
As a clinical psychologist, I adopt various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Schema-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients with Depression, Anxiety (GAD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Personality Disorders (PD) manage their symptoms, practice unconditional acceptance, and live mindfully and positively.
As a family therapist, I use DBT, SFT, and EFT to help parents resolve internal family conflicts with children (teens & adults) and extended family members to promote harmony and maintain peace within the family system.
Naglaa is an American Egyptian who is happy to conduct therapy and psychoeducation in both English and Arabic. She emphasizes accommodating various cultures and ethnic backgrounds while utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
