Description
Jane is a licensed psychotherapist with over two decades of experience supporting individuals, couples, students, and expatriate families through life’s transitions and emotional challenges. After relocating to Cairo, Egypt with her family in 1998, she served as Director of Expatriate Services at Community Service Association in Maadi, where she developed seminars and provided counseling to help families adjust to living in a new country. Her specialized understanding of expatriate psychology later shaped her work at the American University in Cairo Student Wellness Center, where she spent nearly seven years helping students navigate study abroad transitions while also maintaining a private practice.
Now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jane offers online therapy to individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and relationship challenges. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where clients feel deeply heard and understood. By fostering mutual understanding and emotional processing, Jane helps clients move beyond feeling stuck, gain insight into their experiences, and discover more authentic, fulfilling ways of living.
“My approach to psychotherapy is the cumulative result of over 20 years of practice. While I incorporate well-established theoretical systems, my primary mode of working is to listen carefully, reflect what I’m hearing and work toward a mutual understanding in a safe, compassionate and supportive environment so clients can find their authentic way of living.”
