Description
Mirit Agaiby, MSc, GMBPsS is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP); a psychodynamic-trained psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner, and doing an advanced diploma in psychosexual and relationships psychotherapy in London. She received her Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Plymouth. She is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and an associate member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
She specializes in EMDR therapy and psychodynamic modalities; is a trained CBT and ACT therapist; and, has a special interest and focus in existential psychotherapy. She specializes in dissociative disorders and trauma, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression. Agaiby has worked with survivors of sexual, physical and childhood abuse for years within Egypt and now in the UK. Through experience with mixing modalities, Agaiby tends to use several techniques from cognitive therapies to guide clients while focusing on childhood traumas, possible CPTSD symptoms, subconscious fears, tendencies, and dreams and the patterns developed throughout their lifespan as a result. She tends to dig into the meaning of existence and life for each client and how to build meaningful, rich lives.
She received her EMDR training from the EMDR Institute, Inc. in the U.S.; her psychodynamic therapy training at William Alanson White Institute in the U.S.; and, her CBT and ACT trainings at the Beck Institute in the U.S. She is currently receiving training in psychosexual and relationship psychotherapy from the Naos Institute in London.
