Kawthar Lokma is a Child & Adolescent Psychologist who is passionate about helping young people overcome a wide range of cognitive, social, emotional and behavioral challenges.
She has a deep understanding of the unique needs of children and adolescents and is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where they can feel safe and understood. In her practice, Kawthar uses a strength based and holistic approach where she integrates several modalities including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Skills, Play Therapy, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy.
Her approach emphasizes identifying and building on each child or adolescents’ strengths and resources as well as collaborating with parents, teachers and other professionals to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses the unique needs of each individual. Kawthar strives to empower each child/ adolescent to reach their full potential, both in and outside of therapy.
